How to Make the Perfect Hot Toddy with Lir Irish Whiskey
A hot toddy is great on any cold night, but especially to sooth a cold. This warm cocktail is our go-to recipe when you just don't feel 100%. A classic whiskey hot toddy is the best cold remedy, and the tastiest!
The secret to making the best hot toddy is simple—just tinker with the amount of lemon juice and honey until it suits your taste buds. I’ve provided some guidelines in the recipe below. I think you’ll be surprised by how much an extra teaspoon of lemon juice or honey changes the flavor.
INGREDIENTS:
- 50ml Lir Whiskey,
- 3tp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 dried lemon
- 4 cloves
HOW TO MAKE:
Step 1: Stir the whiskey and honey together and carefully pour into your Glens of Antrim Distillery Tuath Glass.
Step 2: Add the cinnamon stick & top up with boiling water. Please pour with care.
Step 3: Garnish with a slice of dried or fresh lemon with cloves. Serve & enjoy.
